whenever I make these Joyce Country Skibs they are inspired by my grandfather William Valentine Joyce, who’s support and care throughout my life got me to where I am today.
Once used all over Ireland as a potato straining basket, skibs are now a popular piece to have hanging on walls in homes. This particular style is from in Joyce Country, Connemara.
This one turned out beautifully with the Brittany blue, brown maul and purple daphnoides varieties.
